Florida gas prices are lower than a year ago, but global uncertainty could change that.

On Sunday, the state average was $2.83 per gallon, according to AAA – The Auto Club Group.

That’s $0.08 less than last year, $0.15 less than a month ago and $0.29 less than a year ago.

Oil prices are stable at the moment in light of recent developments in Venezuela.

The country was a significant producer of crude oil, but sanctions have limited its exports for years.

Global supply is sufficient, although any major disruption could put pressure on prices to increase.

AAA expects Florida gas prices to fluctuate in the coming weeks due to seasonal demand and market conditions.

The most expensive metro markets are West Palm Beach-Boca Raton ($3.00), Naples ($2.90) and Gainesville ($2.90).

The least expensive metro markets are Crestview-Fort Walton Beach ($2.56), Panama City ($2.61) and Pensacola ($2.63).
