CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (WWSB) – The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is investigating a boat crash in Charlotte County Jan. 4 that sent two people to the hospital, officials said.
The FWC, Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office and Charlotte County Fire Rescue responded to the scene of the single-vessel crash near Stump Pass, the FWC said.
A single vessel with three occupants onboard was traveling in Lemon Bay when they struck a piling, investigator say. Two of the boaters were taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries.
No other information was released.
