FORT PIERCE, Fla. (CBS12) — A man linked to a brutal homicide and arson in Fort Pierce has been located in Philadelphia, where he is also wanted for another killing.

The St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office said that Arkel Tymere Garcia, 31, was previously sought for questioning in connection with the November 28, 2025, death of Antwan Lamar Daniels, 51, whose body was discovered inside a fire-damaged home on South Market Avenue.

An autopsy revealed Daniels died from multiple blunt-force injuries, and investigators believe the fire was intentionally set to cover up the crime, according to an update on Dec. 1.

The sheriff’s office said that Garcia remains a person of interest in the St. Lucie County case and faces a homicide warrant and parole violation in Philadelphia. Authorities warned last month that Garcia is armed and dangerous and urged anyone who sees him to call 911 immediately.
