What’s more Florida than saying hi to the sun over 100 times in a row and then drinking some beers?
To welcome 2026, The Body Electric hosts a 108 sun salutations session at OutCast Brewing. 108 is a significant number for varying reasons in many Eastern religions, including Hinduism and Buddhism, but it’s up for each yogi’s interpretation here.
Jessica Mihm-Bonner leads this special outdoor yoga class, where the movement can be as easy or challenging as each yogi wants, including room for modifications and breaks. Forget calories and standards dictated by tracking devices. The goal of this session is to get into a flow state ideal for focus and intention to transition into the new year.
The class ends with ambient guitar, a well-earned Savasana (a mini meditation/nap) and lots of time to grab a drink with new friends.
Tickets are $25 for 108 Sun Salutations happening Sunday, Jan. 11 in St. Petersburg.
