Walt Disney World has been added with a wonderful vacation rental and hotel complex named Evermore Orlando Resort which has a man-made lagoon with a breathtaking view. Families and thrill-seekers alike visit Orlando for its luxurious resorts and the excitement of its world-class theme parks. One of Evermore Orlando Resort’s new features is the lagoon which provides vacationers with a unique way to enjoy a magnificent beach. Evermore Orlando Resort is in the center of Florida and provides a beach experience without requiring time away from the resort.

The Lagoon Experience: A True Beach Escape

Evermore Orlando Resort’s central attraction is the stunning 8-acre artificial lagoon known as Evermore Bay. Featuring crystal-clear turquoise water and 20 acres of pristine sand, the lagoon closely mimics the feeling of being at a Caribbean beach, making it an attractive option for tourists who prefer the calm, safe environment of a lagoon over the natural unpredictability of the ocean. According to Chris Kelsey, president of Dart Interests, the resort’s developer, some visitors even choose Evermore Bay over actual beach destinations. “It’s a pretty darn good facsimile of a Caribbean beach, without the dangers or mess,” Kelsey stated.

The artificial lagoon offers a variety of beach-related amenities designed to enhance the experience. Guests can enjoy kayaking, lounging in stylish cabanas, or relaxing in one of the resort’s unique hot tub boats. There is also a 12-foot-deep swimming hole with a rope swing, as well as floating pickleball courts that offer a novel twist on the traditional beachside game.

A Multi-Million Dollar Investment in Leisure

Developed with the expertise of Crystal Lagoons, a Chilean company known for its innovative lagoon technologies, Evermore Bay is the result of a multi-million-dollar investment. Dart Interests spent roughly 2.5 million USD per acre to create the lagoon, a hefty sum that has already shown impressive returns. Kelsey highlighted that the lagoon has been crucial in increasing both room rates at the resort’s 433-room Conrad Orlando hotel and the demand for luxury amenities, such as top-tier cabanas, which are often priced higher than the accommodation itself.

With its unique offering, Evermore Orlando Resort is capturing the attention of visitors looking for more than just a theme park getaway. Its incorporation of a tranquil beach alternative could entice tourists who may not have considered Orlando as a traditional beach destination, increasing the appeal of the region for those seeking a relaxing, family-friendly escape.

Family-Friendly Appeal and Value for Money

The inclusion of a man-made lagoon is especially appealing to families. Unlike traditional beaches, where parents may worry about tides, waves, or jellyfish, the calm and controlled environment of the Evermore Bay lagoon makes it an ideal choice for parents with young children. Moreover, the addition of family-centric activities, such as overwater hammocks in the cabanas and floating pickleball courts, adds to the resort’s allure as a family-friendly destination. Visitors are encouraged to spend quality time together on the sand, enjoying a perfect mix of relaxation and adventure.

The resort’s lagoon provides a getaway experience that feels exclusive yet affordable. For families who have long been drawn to beach destinations, Evermore Bay offers a hassle-free beach experience, without the need to travel far. Kelsey noted that families enjoy the resort’s amenities, remarking that the lagoon is a major draw for guests seeking the ultimate beach holiday experience in the heart of Orlando.

Crystal Lagoons: Pioneering Efficient Water Features

The development of Evermore Bay is part of a broader trend in artificial lagoon technology pioneered by Crystal Lagoons. Since its founding in 2008, the company has worked on over 80 operational lagoon projects worldwide. According to Benjamin Fischmann, U.S. regional director of Crystal Lagoons, the key to the lagoon’s efficiency lies in its closed-loop water treatment system.

This innovation not only helps make Evermore Bay an eco-friendly alternative but also ensures that the lagoon’s maintenance costs are kept low, allowing the resort to focus on providing a clean, relaxing environment for guests.

Other Resorts Embrace the Man-Made Lagoon Trend

Evermore Orlando Resort is not the only property embracing the trend of artificial lagoons. Resorts across the country, including the Okana Resort & Indoor Waterpark in Oklahoma City, have also introduced man-made lagoons with real sand beaches, providing visitors with a unique opportunity to enjoy the beach experience without the long drive to the coast.

Similarly, Carnival Cruise Line’s Celebration Key private island in the Bahamas also features lagoons, adding to the growing popularity of water-centric attractions in landlocked and coastal destinations alike.

Why It Matters for Orlando’s Tourism

Evermore Orlando Resort’s decision to create a man-made lagoon adds a new dimension to Orlando’s tourism market, attracting a diverse range of visitors. Not only does it provide a beach experience for those who may not have access to one, but it also caters to a growing demand for relaxing, all-inclusive resorts that offer more than just theme parks. The development of Evermore Bay could set a trend for other Orlando resorts to follow, further establishing the city as a year-round, family-friendly destination with an abundance of options beyond its iconic theme parks.

The long-term gains from the resort’s investment in Evermore Bay should include attracting an even wider clientele, such as tourists wishing to spend a quiet beach holiday without having to leave the vicinity. The lagoon will probably turn out to be a major attraction for vacationers wishing to enjoy tranquility in the middle of Orlando, as a more favorable lagoon beach holiday will bring positive word of mouth.
