LEHIGH ACRES, Fla.— A significant Lee County Sheriff’s Office deputy presence has been reported at Veterans Park, located off Homestead Road.
Deputies said they received reports of a significant disturbance at the park around 4:30 p.m. on Monday; however, upon arrival at the scene, it quickly subsided.
No injuries were reported at this time. One person is in custody.
Deputies will remain on the scene to gather evidence. WINK News reporter Haley Zarcone arrived at Veterans Park to provide updates to the scene whenever they become available.
The park remains closed while law enforcement works the scene.
