TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A cold front will bring scattered showers and a few thunderstorms to our region as we end the weekend.
Tonight Through Sunday Night
Quiet weather will continue across the area for Saturday night. Overnight lows are not as cool as recent nights. We bottom out in the low-and-mid-60s under a partly cloudy sky.
On Sunday, we are tracking our next weather system and beneficial rain chances. Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms are looking possible, especially during the late morning and afternoon.
A couple of storms could be strong to severe, mainly from Cairo to Tallahassee and back to the west. A Level 1 risk of severe weather is in place for gusty winds.
Highs on Sunday top out in the upper-70s and low-80s under a mostly cloudy sky.
We are turning drier and cooler for Sunday night. Low temperatures fall into the mid-50s under a clearing sky.
Starting The Work Week
Behind this system, another shot of cooler, drier air is ahead for early next week.
We are dry and sunny on Monday. Highs hover in the upper-70s and low-80s, and lows tumble into the upper-40s and low-50s.
We are a little more mild on Tuesday. Highs reach the mid-80s under a mostly sunny sky. Lows hover in the upper-50s.
We are expecting another cold front to sweep across the area on Tuesday. The moisture is very low with this system, so rain chances are not expected. However, this system will likely bring another shot of cooler weather for the middle of the week.
Extended Forecast
Looking ahead, the weather pattern is looking dry and cooler for the middle of next week.
Temperatures on Wednesday and Thursday top out in the upper-70s and low-80s under some sunshine.
Overnight lows dip into the upper-40s and low-50s.
