JetBlue is strengthening its foothold in Fort Lauderdale by adding two new year-round nonstop routes from Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport (FLL). The airline will soon connect the city directly to Orlando International Airport (MCO) and Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), further cementing its status as the largest carrier at the airport.
Nonstop flights to Orlando will begin on May 21, with twice-daily service making travel between South Florida and Central Florida more convenient than ever. Meanwhile, JetBlue will launch daily nonstop flights to Dallas starting March 12. Originally planned as a spring break-only service, the route will now operate year-round due to strong demand.
In addition to the new routes, JetBlue is also expanding its popular Fort Lauderdale–New York LaGuardia service by adding more daily flights, giving travelers greater flexibility and more options throughout the day.
These network expansions reflect JetBlue’s continued growth strategy in Florida, focusing on improved connectivity and offering customers more nonstop choices across its expanding route map.
A Stronger Florida Network
The introduction of these two new routes adds to JetBlue’s expanding Florida operations. As the carrier continues to strengthen its presence in Fort Lauderdale, the Orlando and Dallas routes are expected to be especially popular with both leisure and business travelers. The Fort Lauderdale–Orlando route will provide customers with a more convenient alternative to driving between these two major Florida cities. With morning and evening flight options, the route is designed to cater to travelers heading to either city for vacation, business, or family visits.
As a key carrier in Florida, JetBlue is focused on connecting its two Florida hubs—Fort Lauderdale and Orlando—and offering travelers seamless connections to additional domestic and international destinations. The airline’s extensive network within Florida also provides travelers with easy connections to the Caribbean and Latin America, making it an appealing choice for both short-haul and long-haul travelers.
The airline’s commitment to Fort Lauderdale as a central hub within its network continues to grow. JetBlue has significantly increased its operations in the city, with an expanded schedule that now includes 113 daily departures to 46 nonstop destinations. This includes popular locations across the U.S., Latin America, and the Caribbean. The addition of the new Orlando and Dallas routes reflects JetBlue’s continued investment in Fort Lauderdale, offering travelers even more reasons to choose the airline for both Florida-based and international travel.
Increased Connectivity to Major U.S. Cities
JetBlue’s expansion isn’t limited to Florida. The airline has also increased its service to New York City, adding two additional daily flights on its popular Fort Lauderdale–LaGuardia route. This move is designed to cater to the high demand for flights between these two major cities, offering even more flexibility for travelers heading to the Big Apple. With increased frequency on this route, passengers can now choose from more convenient flight times to fit their schedules, whether they are traveling for business or leisure.
JetBlue’s expansion in New York and Florida is designed to make it easier for travelers to experience the best of both cities, as well as to enjoy the seamless connections between Fort Lauderdale and destinations across the U.S. and beyond. With the airline offering a strong network of flights from both Fort Lauderdale and New York, passengers will have a wide array of options for both domestic and international travel.
Celebrating Growth with Introductory Fares
To celebrate the launch of the new Orlando–Fort Lauderdale route, JetBlue is offering promotional fares starting at just $49 for one-way flights, available for a limited time on jetblue.com. These introductory fares offer travelers the perfect opportunity to explore Orlando’s many attractions, from its world-famous theme parks to its vibrant cultural scene.
JetBlue’s expanding service within Florida and beyond continues to position the airline as a strong player in the U.S. airline industry. The new year-round routes to Orlando and Dallas, along with the additional flights to New York, reflect JetBlue’s ongoing commitment to providing customers with affordable, high-quality service while strengthening its network across key markets.
Expanding Premium Offerings with Mint
In addition to the new routes, JetBlue has also made significant investments in its premium service offerings, including the expansion of its Mint experience in both Fort Lauderdale and Orlando. As part of the airline’s growth strategy, JetBlue has announced plans to open a dedicated Mint inflight crew member base in Fort Lauderdale later this year, ensuring continued service excellence for passengers flying in the premium cabin. This expansion of the Mint experience further enhances JetBlue’s appeal to travelers seeking a comfortable, elevated flying experience.
JetBlue’s Florida Focus and Future Expansion Plans
JetBlue’s latest additions come as part of the airline’s broader strategy to continue growing its footprint across the U.S. and internationally. With a goal of expanding its footprint in Florida, JetBlue is focused on enhancing its presence in key cities like Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, and beyond. The airline’s commitment to offering more options for travelers, along with its focus on premium services like Mint, positions JetBlue for continued success in the years ahead.
