The Lee County Supervisor of Elections Office reported that the Captiva Island Fire Control District will hold a bond referendum special election on Feb. 10, regarding fire public safety projects.
The election is open only to voters in the fire district.
A notice of election was mailed on Dec. 12 to approximately 235 eligible voters.
The office shared the following election information:
– The voter registration deadline for new registrations is Jan. 12.
– The deadline to request a vote-by-mail ballot is Jan. 29 at 5 p.m.
– The temporary polling location for the election will be the Captiva Civic Center, at 11550 Chapin Lane, Captiva. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day, Feb. 10.
– There will be no early voting for the election.
