BALTIMORE — The Los Angeles Rams will be without one of the NFL’s leading receivers for their trip to London.

Puka Nacua has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars at Wembley Stadium. He missed the full week of practice with the ankle he sprained in last Sunday’s 17-3 win over the Baltimore Ravens.

Right tackle Rob Havenstein will also miss a third straight game with an ankle injury. Everyone else on the Rams’ roster is set to play, including linebacker Omar Speights, who missed last week with an ankle sprain.

Nacua made some progress this week, but it wasn’t enough to return to the practice field. His scan came back with encouraging news, but the team will give him this week and next week’s bye to rest.

“I’m very confident in having him ready after the bye,” coach Sean McVay said. “If he’s not able to meet certain criteria to return to performance as opposed to being able to just get back out there and play, then we’ll allow him to continue to work in the meantime. I know he’s going to do everything in his power. He’s attacked his rehab the right way.”

Nacua entered Week 7 leading all players with 65 targets and 54 receptions. He turned in at least eight catches every week until the game versus Baltimore, when he suffered the ankle sprain.

Without Nacua, the Rams will lean on Davante Adams, who ranks seventh in the NFL with 55 targets. The three-time first-team All-Pro is working on his chemistry and timing with Matthew Stafford, as the two have connected on just 47.3 percent of targets through six games.

Los Angeles will start Tutu Atwell in Nacua’s place. Jordan Whittington will continue to see time, too. The Rams could also deploy more two-tight-end sets to navigate Nacua’s absence.

With Havenstein out, the Rams will look to Warren McClendon Jr. for a third straight game. The bye week will come at a helpful time to get Havenstein through an issue that has bothered him for much of the season.
