WAKE OF PROTESTS THERE. MEANWHILE, A PROTEST OVER THIS DEADLY CONFRONTATION IS NOW UNDERWAY IN DOWNTOWN ORLANDO. IT HAS WESH TWO. TONI ATKINS IS LIVE OUTSIDE CITY HALL. AND TONI, WHAT’S HAPPENING THERE RIGHT NOW? SUMMER, THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON. IT’S BEEN ORGANIZED BY A GROUP CALLED ORLANDO 5051. IT WAS SET TO BEGIN AT 530, AND IT REALLY HAS PICKED UP IN THE PAST HALF HOUR. I WANT TO GIVE YOU A LIVE LOOK HERE AT THE SITUATION. YOU CAN SEE A NUMBER OF FOLKS ABOUT TWO DOZEN OR SO PEOPLE OUT HERE PROTESTING WITH THEIR SIGNS, CHANTING ALONG THE HEAVY TRAFFIC HERE DURING RUSH HOUR ALONG ORANGE AVENUE. I SPOKE WITH THE ORGANIZER, COREY HILL, JUST A MOMENT AGO. HE SAID THAT THIS PROTEST IS WHAT THEY CALL IT. IT WAS ORGANIZED JUST AROUND 3:00. SO THREE HOURS AGO, A PRETTY DECENT TURNOUT HERE IN FRONT OF CITY HALL AT THIS POINT. AGAIN, PEOPLE PROTESTING OUT AGAINST THAT DEADLY ICE INVOLVED SHOOTING IN MINNEAPOLIS. AND COMING UP LATER TONIGHT, WE’RE GOING TO HEAR FROM MORE PEOPLE HERE AS THIS PROTEST CONTINUES. RIGHT NOW, IT’S UNCLEAR EXACTLY HOW LONG THIS WILL GO ON. ORGANIZERS ARE URGING PEOPLE, IF THEY HEAR ABOUT THIS, TO TRY TO COME OUT, SO WE WILL HAVE MORE FROM ORGANIZERS AND PEOPLE WHO CHOSE TO COME OUT HERE EARLY FOR THIS PROTEST. A protest was organized outside of Orlando City Hall at approximately 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday, where people gathered to repudiate the fatal shooting of a woman in Minneapolis by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer.Groups including Orlando 50501, The Family Support Network, the Immigrants Are Welcomed Here Coalition and the Hope Community Center, will be there.>> This is a developing story and will be updated as new information is released.

A protest was organized outside of Orlando City Hall at approximately 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday, where people gathered to repudiate the fatal shooting of a woman in Minneapolis by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer.
