Timbaland is saying goodbye to one of his Florida properties with the recent sale of his mansion. The producer, songwriter and artist had his home for six years in Coral Gables, a very wealthy neighborhood just 20 minutes west of Miami.

According to Zillow, the property was listed for $8.599 million when Timbaland closed on it for $7.95 million in November 2019. Less than two years later, he listed it for $13.9 million. But with no takers, it was taken off the market. It returned to the market in April for $15.9 million. Now, it has officially sold for $14 million.

Public records reveal that Zeri Zapata, CEO of COR Medical Centers and 1-800-NO-FAULT, and his wife bought the home.

“Located in the exclusive, gated community of Hammock Lakes, this tropical modern estate is a private sanctuary surrounded by mature oaks and lush landscaping,” says the Mocca Group listing held by Diana Gutierrez and Alex Pirez, noting that it’s “a rare offering that checks every box.”

Sitting on a 0.941-acre lot, this 8,452-square-foot property has seven bedrooms, nine full bathrooms and one half bathroom. The interior is full of natural light, thanks to the floor-to-ceiling windows and doors, and it seamlessly flows to the outdoors. It’s filled with amenities, including a chef’s kitchen, an outdoor BBQ, an Elan smart home system, a wine cellar, a sauna, an elevator and a guest house.

Timbaland’s move also means that he won’t be close to his cousin Pharrell Williams anymore. Williams bought a $30 million mansion in Coral Gables in April 2020, according to the New York Post. The nine-bedroom, 12-bathroom abode features a 2,000-bottle wine cellar and its own pub-style bar. It’s located right outside of Gables Estates, the most expensive neighborhood in the US, according to Zillow’s August report.

According to The Real Deal, Timbaland isn’t completely saying goodbye to Florida. “The Way I Are” singer owns a double unit at Aria on the Bay, a luxury high-rise in Miami. He sold a mansion located in Pinecrest, a suburb south of Miami, in 2019.
