Blue Man Group as set a debut date for its new Orlando show. The production will launch in its new theater at Icon Park on May 1, the group announced Thursday.
Ticket go on sale for performances at the International Drive venue on Jan. 16. Pricing has not been announced.
The live show — featuring a famed blue-skinned, apparently bald and mostly silent trio — will feature classic Blue Man Group routines plus new bits that will be exclusive to the Orlando production. The troupe is known for its unusual instrumentation, visual effects and humor.

The new show, including the addition of a dedicated 500-seat theater, was first announced in June 2024. A 2025 opening date eventually was annouced but later postponed. The theater is under construction near the base of the Orlando Eye, on the Universal Boulevard side of Icon Park.

Blue Man Group previously performed in a prominent soundstage at Universal Orlando, accessed through Universal CityWalk, for 14 years. That show was discontinued in 2021.
Blue Man Group started in New York City in 1987 and had continuing shows there as well as in Boston, Chicago, London, Berlin and Shanghai. It currently stages productions in Las Vegas and with traveling tours.

In 2017, Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group purchased Blue Man Productions. Cirque continues to operates a show called “Drawn to Life” at Disney Springs.
