The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have fired offensive coordinator Josh Grizzard, according to multiple reports.
Grizzard was axed less than a year after he was promoted to replace the outgoing Liam Coen, who left for the Jacksonville Jaguars head coach job.
Now, as calls grew to keep head coach Todd Bowles in place, team leaders moved on from Grizzard who had just wrapped his first year as an offensive coordinator in the sport.
Grizzard’s offense was middle-of-the-pack this season in total yards, passing yards, rushing yards and scoring.
After starting the season 6-2, the Buccaneers lost seven of their final nine games to end the campaign at 8-9.
Ultimately, they missed out on the playoffs to the Carolina Panthers – who won the AFC South title over them on a tiebreak.

Bowles was kept around after leading the Buccaneers to three straight playoff appearances from 2022-2024.
Since taking the mantle from Bruce Arians, Bowles has gone 35-33 in the regular season.
However, Bowles has only won a single playoff game when they beat the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Wild Card round in the 2023 season.Â
This offseason could lead to some major changes for the Buccaneers as multiple star players are set to hit free agency.
Among the biggest names include the franchise’s greatest-ever wide receiver, Mike Evans.
Others include pass rusher Haason Reddick, cornerback Jamel Dean, tight end Cade Otton, and linebacker Lavonte David.
