It has been confirmed that Fatburger will take the place of the former Dairy Queen at 348 Blanding Blvd., which permanently closed its doors in early 2025.
Tagged “the last great hamburger stand,” the Los Angeles-based burger chain was founded in 1952 and is known for its nostalgic vibe and robust menu of burgers, fries, sandwiches, wings, and shakes. Each meal is scratch-made and cooked to order.
Fatburger currently has more than 150 restaurants worldwide, with plans for further expansion. The Blanding Boulevard restaurant will be the first in Northeast Florida, with two other Florida locations in Riverview and Celebration.
As of now, there is no confirmed opening date.
