PLANTATION, Fla. — Police arrested a chorus teacher at a Broward County high school on Thursday on a charge related to inappropriate conduct with a student.

Christopher Santanelli, 42, has been reassigned from his role at South Plantation High School ― away from students ― pending the outcome of the investigation, a Broward County Public Schools spokesperson said.

According to jail records, Plantation police arrested Santanelli on a charge of soliciting or engaging in a romantic relationship as an authority figure.

Details about the allegations that led to Santanelli’s arrest weren’t immediately available as of Thursday afternoon.
