They were immediately placed on Code Red out of an abundance of caution, and several law enforcement officers and K9 officers arrived on campus to complete a sweep and ensure the safety of students and staff.Forest City Elementary was also placed on a Code Red out of an abundance of caution due to its proximity to Lake Brantley High School. There was no threat to Forest City Elementary School, and it was downgraded to a Code Yellow until law enforcement lifted the Code once Lake Brantley High was cleared.Law Enforcement has confirmed that this call was a hoax, and the FBI and law enforcement will be working to identify the caller. We can also confirm there was no threat to Lake Brantley High. Both Lake Brantley High and Forest City Elementary are in the process of dismissal at this time, and there will be a heavy law enforcement presence in the area to assist with traffic congestion.” The Altamonte Springs Police Department has confirmed that the Code Red has been lifted and there is no current threat to students or staff.
