ORLANDO, Fla. (WWSB) – Demonstrators gathered outside Orlando City Hall Wednesday following news that an Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer shot and killed a 37-year-old woman during an immigration enforcement operation in Minneapolis.
The shooting occurred during the Trump administration’s latest immigration crackdown, leaving Minneapolis on edge.
Pastor Sarah Robinson, who joined the Orlando demonstration, said the incident contradicted her calling to serve communities.

“The reason I became a pastor. To love people well. To care for our communities. To make thriving, flourishing communities. What’s happening now is so antithetical to that,” Robinson said.
The Orlando protest was organized as an emergency demonstration, with organizers calling for the gathering two and a half hours before it began. Demonstrators criticized ICE and its presence over the past year.
