FORT PIERCE, Fla. (CBS12) — A Fort Pierce landlord and her companion are accused of turning a tenant dispute into a violent confrontation at gunpoint.

Deputies with the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office (SLCSO) say they responded to the 5200 block of Seagrape Drive just before 11 p.m. on Saturday for reports of a burglary and assault.

The complainant reportedly told deputies that his landlord, 38-year-old Kristi Stewart of Fort Pierce, entered the room that he’s renting and battered him. He noted that at one point, the landlord’s companion, 34-year-old Geoffery Moore of Fort Pierce, stood by holding a gun and threatened to shoot him if he tried to defend himself.
