CARROLLWOOD — An Italian restaurant concept from Cooper’s Hawk will open Oct. 20 in the former Romano’s Macaroni Grill space at 14904 N. Dale Mabry Highway.

Piccolo Buco by Cooper’s Hawk marks the first Florida location for the concept from the Illinois-based winery and hospitality group. Tampa’s only Macaroni Grill closed in 2023, and the site has been completely gutted and renovated.

The restaurant is one of two new Piccolo Buco locations to complement the inaugural site in Oak Brook, Illinois.

About Piccolo Buco by Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurants: A collaboration between Cooper’s Hawk Founder Tim McEnery and Chef Luca Issa of the original Piccolo Buco in Rome. The restaurant specializes in handcrafted Neapolitan-style pizza featuring Chef Luca’s signature tall, crown-like crust. Each dish follows the Italian tradition of simplicity, quality, and craftsmanship, thoughtfully paired with wine. Cooper’s Hawk’s 800,000 Wine Club members enjoy exclusive benefits at both Piccolo Buco and Cooper’s Hawk locations.
