The Los Angeles Rams (4-2) took on the Jacksonville Jaguars (4-2) in a pivotal interconference and international matchup at Wembley Stadium in London, England, on Sunday.

Los Angeles was coming off a 17-3 win over the Baltimore Ravens in Week 6, where they looked far from their best. They played a full game without their top wide receiver, Puka Nacua, who was out with an ankle injury, but that didn’t prove to be much of a problem.

Jacksonville’s defense was torched and their team, as a whole, committed simply too many penalties to be competitive against one of the best teams in the league.

Rams Wire brought all the highlights from the day:

Final Score: Rams 35, Jaguars 7

Los Angeles dominated this game in every area. Once they went up 21-0 in the second quarter, it was over. Stafford’s five-touchdown day will be remembered for a while.

Jacksonville used 13 plays to go 51 yards, but Lawrence’s final pass was tipped twice and fell to the ground incomplete on fourth down, giving the ball back to the Rams.

Davante Adams catches his third TD of the game – Rams 35, Jaguars 7

After the Jaguars failed to recover their onside kick, the Rams drove down the field, aided by multiple defensive penalties. On first-and-goal, Stafford hit Adams on another fade route for his third score of the game. This is the first five-touchdown game for any quarterback in an international game.

Lawrence finds his first-round WR for his first TD – Jaguars 7, Rams 28

Something finally clicked for Jacksonville in the fourth quarter, as they started picking up the tempo. They went 80 yards in five plays, including Lawrence hitting Hunter for a 34-yard touchdown, the first of the wideout’s career.

Stafford finds another rookie for his 1st career TD – Rams 28, Jaguars 0

The Rams weren’t looking good in the second half, but up 21-0, Los Angeles decided to go for it on fourth-and-1 from Jacksonville’s 31-yard line. Stafford found rookie tight end Terrance Ferguson in the end zone for his first touchdown. The Rams now lead 28-0.

END OF Q3 Update

The Rams dominated the first half, but they’ve done nothing in the second half, punting four times in the third quarter. Luckily, Jacksonville has been just as bad, turning the ball over on downs twice and punting twice since halftime.

Jaguars go three-and-out, punt again

Jacksonville’s offense looks enemic. Lawrence attempted three passes on this drive and all were incomplete.

Rams’ second-half offensive woes continue

Los Angeles started their drive at their 21-yard line. Running back Blake Corum ran the ball twice for six total yards, and Stafford was unable to connect with Higbee, setting up a fourth punt in four drives in the second half for the Rams.

Trevor Lawrence sacked twice, Rams force a punt

After benefitting from a face mask penalty on first down, the Jaguars punted just three plays later, as Quentin Lake sacked Lawrence on second down and the duo of Young and Landman sacked Lawrence on third down.

Rams go three-and-out again

Stafford and the Rams got the ball at their own 27-yard line. After Williams gained three on a run to the right, Stafford missed Terrance Ferguson and Xavier Smith, setting up another punt. They’ve gone three-and-out on three straight drives.

Braden Fiske, Byron Young force fourth-down incompletion and turnover on downs

For their third consecutive drive, the Jaguars turned the ball over after failing to convert a fourth down. On the final play, Braden Fiske got to Lawrence and Byron Young met him there, as Lawrence was barely able to get the football away for an incompletion.

Travis Hunter clamps Davante Adams to force Rams’ punt

For the second series in a row, the Rams were forced to punt. On third-and-3, Stafford tried to hit Adams deep down the left sideline, but first-round pick Travis Hunter broke up the pass.

Injury: Rams DB Kam Kinchens leaves game

During Jacksonville’s last possession, Rams defensive back Kam Kinchens suffered a toe injury that took him out of the game. Los Angeles announced that he’s questionable to return.

Rams force another tunrover on downs

The Rams bailed out the Jaguars multiple times in their first drive of the second half, with Darious Williams and Kamren Curl both getting called for penalties. However, Lawrence missed his last two passes on third and fourth down to give the ball back to Los Angeles.

Rams go three-and-out to start the second half

After Xavier Smith set them up with a 32-yard kick return, Kyren Williams ran for six yards, Tyler Higbee dropped a pass and Williams had a ball knocked out of his hands to kill the drive before it really got going. Evans delivered a 41-yard boot that set Jacksonville up at their own 17-yard line.

HALFTIME UPDATE: Rams 21, Jaguars 0

Los Angeles looked incredible in the first half, scoring on three of their five drives, and that includes the final drive of the half, where they ran out the clock. The Rams have been nearly perfect, while Jacksonville has been sloppy, committing five penalties and missing a field goal. Sean McVay has a lot of respect for Liam Coen, so he may try to salt away the second half.

Rams force turnover-on-downs to get the ball back with 1:45

After the first nine plays of Jacksonville’s drive set them up for a fourth-and-7 play from Los Angeles’ 11-yard line, the Jaguars opted to go for it. The Rams had great coverage, forcing Lawrence to run. He was taken down by Jared Verse and Darious Williams short of the line to gain. They took over at their own 7-yard line.

Stafford finds Adams again to give Rams a 21-point lead

The Rams made quick use of their solid starting field position, setting up for a second-and-goal from the one-yard line. Adams quickly got off the line and made an impressive one-handed grab to put the Rams up 21-0.

Rams get lucky again, Jaguars miss long FG

After having the touchdown called back, Jacksonville moved the ball 38 yards and set themselves up with a fourth-and-3 play from Los Angeles’ 32-yard line. Instead of going for it or punting, they sent out Cameron Little for a 50-yard field goal. The kicker missed the attempt wide left.

Rams avoid punt return TD thanks to penalty

Los Angeles scored on their first two possessions of the game, but when they got the ball for a third time, they didn’t have the same luck. Stafford tried to hit Jordan Whittington three times; two were incomplete and one was a catch at the line of scrimmage. This forced Ethan Evans to punt for the first time. Parker Washington returned the kick 61 yards for a touchdown, but the score was taken off the board for a block-in-the-back penalty.

Nate Landman records first Rams sack, setting up another punt

Landman has been incredible so far this season, as he entered the day with 58 tackles, four passes defensed, two quarterback hits, two fumbles recovered and one forced fumble. However, he didn’t have a sack until he took down Lawrence on a first-and-10 play from Los Angeles’ 43-yard line. That put the Jaguars back, and they eventually punted from Los Angeles’ 45.

END OF Q1 UPDATE

The Rams have dominated the first quarter, holding the ball for over 10 minutes, recording 11 first downs and scoring two touchdowns to go up 14-0. Jacksonville doesn’t seem capable of stopping Los Angeles’ passing game, even without Nacua.

Stafford finds Davante Adams to extend the lead. Rams up 14-0.

Los Angeles got the ball back and moved down the field quickly, setting themselves up with a first-and-goal from Jacksonville’s two-yard line in just five plays (with help from a costly defensive pass interference penalty). On the first-and-goal play, Stafford found Davante Adams, who ran a fade on the right, for a touchdown to put them up 14-0.

Rams force another three-and-out

Jacksonville got the ball back after the touchdown and was called for a holding penalty on their first play, setting them up with a first-and-20. They completed one pass for seven yards, had another knocked down at the line of scrimmage and threw another over Travis Hunter’s head. Logan Cooke came out and booted the ball 62 yards, while Xavier Smith returned it 13 yards to Los Angeles’ 21-yard line.

Stafford finds rookie WR to give Rams 7-0 lead

After the Rams kept the drive alive with the fourth-down conversion, Stafford found rookie wide receiver Konata Mumpfield in the back of the end zone for a five-yard touchdown. Karty put the ball through to put Los Angeles up 7-0 over Jacksonville.

Rams convert early fourth down

Los Angeles brought the ball into the red zone, but after a missed connection between Matthew Stafford and Davante Adams, they were faced with a fourth-and-3 from Jacksonville’s 16-yard line. The Rams opted to go for it, and Stafford found his running back, Kyren Williams, for a 9-yard gain to keep the drive alive.

Jared Verse sacks Trevor Lawrence on the first play of the game

Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence dropped back to pass on the first play of the game, and Jared Verse got into the backfield and took the quarterback down for his first sack of the game. He’s now just one sack away from passing his 2024 total.

Rams win the toss, defer to second half

Los Angeles has won the coin toss, but they won’t get the ball first. Joshua Karty will kick off to Jacksonville to start the game.
