Florida football padded its transfer portal haul on Saturday with a commitment from former Auburn Tigers wide receiver Eric Singleton.

The 5-10-inch, 185-pound pass-catcher originally from Douglasville, Georgia, was a three-star recruit in the 2023 cycle, initially selecting the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. He hauled in 104 passes for 1,468 yards and 9 TDs in two seasons in Atlanta before hitting the transfer portal for the first time in 2024.

Singleton arrived at Auburn in December of 2024 and played the 2025 campaign with the Tigers, starting all 12 games while catching 58 throws for 534 yards and 3 TDs. He has caught a pass every game of his collegiate career (36) — the sixth-longest active streak in FBS.

He had submitted his name to the NFL draft, but pulled his name in time to commit to the Orange and Blue, arriving in Gainesville as a four-star transfer prospect and the No. 8 wide receiver in the 2026 portal class. The Peach State product has one more year of eligibility remaining.

That might be in part due to Singleton’s familiarity with Florida’s new skipper Jon Sumrall and several members of his staff. He played under both new UF offensive coordinator Buster Faulkner when Faulkner was the offensive coordinator with the Georgia Bulldogs, and under new UF wide receivers coach Marcus Davis when Davis was the wide receivers coach at Auburn.

Singleton also has connections with other former Georgia Tech players who committed to the Gators, like quarterback Aaron Philo, wide receiver Bailey Stockton and offensive lineman Harrison Moore.
