An investigation is underway after a possible kidnapping attempt in Weston on Monday, officials said.

According to Weston officials, the incident involved the “possible kidnapping attempt of young female” at Bonaventure Boulevard and Sagemont Way.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office is taking over the investigation and is looking for a dark blue minivan, which is possibly a Honda or Hyundai, that is being driven by a man who was masked and hooded.

Sagemont Preparatory School principal Mellesia Nelson sent out an email to parents explaining there is no threat to the campus, and that no student or staff member was harmed.
