We’ve been in a long, warm pattern with highs pushing into the 80s in Fort Lauderdale and Miami for eight days in a row.

In fact, the high yesterday in Miami was a record for the date, hitting 84 degrees. When you consider that typical highs this time of the year come in around 75-76 degrees, this run has been impressive.

Well, it ends today as a front pushed through early this morning. A north breeze, combined with a fair amount of cloud cover, will keep highs in the 70s today…mid-70s at best. You’ll notice lower humidity and a breeze as well. Just a completely different feel out there.

We will keep our 70s for highs through Thursday, then expect an even stronger front Thursday night. As it stands now, we are forecast morning 40s for Friday with afternoon numbers in the 60s!

The super long-range forecast calls for morning 50s and afternoon 70s this weekend. Not too shabby.
