Fire crews responded to a house fire on Fairview Avenue shortly after 3 p.m. on Sunday.
The Fort Myers Fire Department said the blaze began while a resident was cooking on the stove.
Flames spread rapidly into the roof and attic, causing visible damage.
Two people were inside the home at the time, but both escaped safely.
Crews were managing another call nearby, allowing them to arrive within minutes and contain the fire before it spread further.
Fort Myers Police and Lee County EMS were also on scene.
No injuries were reported.
