What if Juliet didn’t follow Shakespeare’s tragic ending? After Romeo’s death, Juliet now gets a second chance at love and life. The smash-hit musical “& Juliet” reimagines the world’s most famous love story with a modern twist and a soundtrack packed with chart-topping hits.
The show features songs by Grammy-winning producer Max Martin, whose music has dominated pop charts for decades, and a book by David West Read, the Emmy-winning writer behind “Schitt’s Creek.” Audiences can expect an energetic playlist that includes “Since U Been Gone,” “Roar,” “Baby One More Time,” “Larger Than Life,” “That’s The Way It Is” and “Can’t Stop the Feeling!”
Directed by Luke Sheppard with choreography by Emmy-winning Jennifer Weber, “& Juliet” opened on Broadway in 2022 and continues to play to sold-out audiences. The musical has earned acclaim across four continents since its 2019 world premiere in Manchester, England, winning multiple Olivier Awards and breaking box office records in Toronto, London and New York.
The production arrives at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts Jan. 13-25 for 16 performances as part of the Bank of America Broadway in Fort Lauderdale Series.
