Lee Health expanded the Emergency Department at Cape Coral Hospital, adding nine new treatment bays and increasing total capacity to 56 treatment spaces. The expansion is intended to reduce wait times, improve patient flow and support faster access to emergency care as Cape Coral’s population continues to grow. Hospital leaders said the additional bays will help accommodate higher patient volumes during peak demand and seasonal surges. The project is part of Lee Health’s broader efforts to enhance access to emergency and convenient care services across Cape Coral, including the recent opening of new outpatient and convenient care locations in the city.
