Veámonos en la starting line, Miami. Farruko is set to headline the first-ever Miami E-Prix at Hard Rock Stadium on Saturday, Jan. 31, and the vibe is sure to be quite electric.

Because two race weekends are better than one, our city will play host to the only U.S.-based date of the 2025-26 Formula E season. For those not versed in all things car racing, Formula E is kind of like Formula 1, in that it features the high-class open-wheel single-seater racecars, but in this case, all the cars feature electric-running motors.

Just like F1 Race Week, the edge-of-your-seat action comes to the Miami International Autodrome at Hard Rock Stadium, but it won’t just be about the cars that go vroom. Organizers have lined up a heavy stack of musical talent, and the two-time Latin Grammy Award-winning “Pepas” singer is the first official headliner to be announced.

“Miami has always been a special place for me because of the energy, the culture, the people, and I love how Formula E is bringing all of this together for the Miami E-Prix,” Farruko is quoted in a press release. “Headlining this event is an honor, and I’m excited to connect with the global community of fans in a new space that reflects the city’s spirit while showcasing the future of motorsport.”

No doubt the Puerto Rican talent will let loose a string of his billion-stream hits, from “Diles” to “Calma” and the aforementioned “Pepas” — a song we haven’t managed to get unstuck from our heads since it dominated the airwaves in 2021.

A handful of DJ talent is set to follow the Farruko announcement, but race fans will be happy to hear the 2026 Miami E-Prix will feature one buzz-worthy day of hair-raising fun, with expanded viewing areas to take in all the twists and turns of the newly approved shorter track configuration designed to amplify the subtle nuances of electric motor racing’s technical feats.

Alongside the musical programming of the “Miami Energy Drop,” fans can enjoy interactive gaming arenas, racing simulators, and a variety of family-friendly activations.

Tickets are on sale, with general admission starting at $30, Grandstand access at $71, and access to the Trackside Terrace for $149, plus additional ticket options for parking and hospitality.
