Report shows Orlando theme park incidents, injuries in 2025
EPIC UNIVERSE BOB HAZEN WESH TWO NEWS I’M CHRISTINA WATKINS CONTINUING OUR TEAM COVERAGE THIS MORNING BECAUSE OF THIS TRAGEDY, WE WANTED TO LOOK INTO THE REPORTED INJURIES SO FAR AT ALL OF OUR PARKS ACROSS CENTRAL FLORIDA. THE MOST RECENT REPORT FROM THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE IS FROM JULY, AND IT SHOWS TWO REPORTED INJURIES INVOLVING PEOPLE WITH PREEXISTING CONDITIONS WHO RODE STARDUST RACERS. SO A MONTH AFTER THE PARK OPENED ON JUNE 22ND, THE REPORT SHOWS A 63 YEAR OLD MAN BECAME DIZZY WHILE ON THIS RIDE. TWO DAYS LATER, THE STATE REPORTED A 47 YEAR OLD WOMAN SAID SHE WAS EXPERIENCING SOME SORT OF VISUAL DISTURBANCE OR NUMBNESS. AGAIN, BOTH HAD PREEXISTING CONDITIONS. EPIC OPENED BACK ON MAY 22ND, AND ASIDE FROM THOSE TWO REPORTED INJURIES, THE STATE’S DATA ONLY SHOWS ONE OTHER. THIS IS ON HICCUP’S WING GLIDERS, WHERE A 32 YEAR OLD MAN WHO DID NOT HAVE ANY PREEXISTING ISSUES, SAYS HE FELT SOME SORT OF CHEST PAIN.
