Florida State‘s defensive line has been gutted through the transfer portal, and the Seminoles are working to replenish the room for the 2026 season. They are working to get several more targets on campus, one of whom is Tymere Jackson, according to Brendan Sonnone of Noles247.
Jackson spent the past two seasons with the Texas State Bobcats. He emerged as a starter for them in 2025, playing in 11 games with eight starts. He had the best season of his career, recording 32 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, two pass breakups, and 22 pressures.
The New Jersey native played in just nine games the year before, finishing with six tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, and six pressures. He started his career at Monroe College in 2021 before transferring to Dodge City Community College in 2022. He recorded 22 tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss before transferring to the JUCO East Los Angeles College for the 2023 season.
He had a breakout performance, 64 tackles, 13.5 tackles for loss, and 3.0 sacks before making the jump to Texas State. Having played four seasons, he will need to be given an extra season of eligibility by the NCAA for his time at the JUCO level.
Jackson is currently unranked as a transfer prospect. FSU’s only other defensive line transfer addition this offseason is edge Rylan Kennedy.
