Florida Highway Patrol said one of the men was ejected from a 2016 Lexus sedan during the crash.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Two Jacksonville men were killed in a crash on Interstate 10 near Stockton Street just before midnight Wednesday, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
At 11:51 p.m., FHP said a 45-year-old Jacksonville man was driving a 2016 Lexus sedan eastbound on I-10, approaching mile marker 362 in the left lane, when the man switched lanes, resulting in the car leaving the road.
FHP said the car struck a FDOT sign and began to overturn.
According to FHP, the Lexus then hit an overhead support sign, as the driver was ejected from the vehicle due to not wearing a seatbelt.
FHP said both men were pronounced dead on scene. The other man who was killed in the crash was a passenger in the Lexus; he was 31 years old, according to a release from FHP. Neither man’s identity was released.
