Verizon customers are currently experiencing nationwide network outages, affecting thousands.
WINK News contacted a Verizon location in Fort Myers, where a representative confirmed that the outage occurred on Wednesday, affecting customers nationwide.
Verizon issued this statement to WINK News, saying, “We are aware of an issue impacting wireless voice and data services for some customers. Our engineers are engaged and are working to identify and solve the issue quickly. We understand how important reliable connectivity is and apologize for the inconvenience.”
The representative said that Verizon is working to correct the outage.
It remains unclear how long the outage lasted or what caused the interruption.
