More than 400 pet lovers and their dogs are expected to participate in the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast’s twenty-second annual Mutt March on January 24, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Participants will set out on a morning walk around Memorial Park in Stuart. The event is free and dog-friendly.

Visitors also will have an opportunity to shop vendors at the “flea-less” market, enter a dog costume contest, have their dog run a lure course, meet adoptable animals, experience a kids’ zone and the Camp Bow Wow Stuart Doggy Playground, make a memory at the humane society’s photo booth, enjoy food trucks, and purchase raffle tickets. All proceeds will benefit the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast’s animals.

This year, the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast will name the first Honorary Dog Mayor of Palm City! The public may cast their votes for Dog Mayor of Palm City until January 23. The dog with the most votes will be sworn in as the inaugural Dog Mayor of Palm City at the start of the event. Vote here.
