Set in a quaint building beside the Marriott Hutchinson Island Beach Resort, The Hutch is close enough for hotel guests to wander over for a bite to eat, but far away enough to feel like a local hideaway. With its pink and white color scheme dotted with beachy rattan textures, it’s the kind of place that wakes you up right.
To that end, coffee here is dedicated to beans from La Colombe Coffee Roasters. The iced latte is cold and strong—no syrup or decoration. Just coffee that does its job and reminds you why you started drinking it in the first place.
Breakfast here lands the same way. Try the bacon, egg, and cheddar on an everything bagel—made with bagels flown in fresh from New York’s Ess-A-Bagel. The effort shows in its golden edge, with real chew and a weight that makes sense. The bacon snaps with every bite, and the cheese melts right into it. The whole thing tastes like it was made by someone who cared enough to do things right.
The resort’s food and beverage director Andy Patton is one of those folks who care at The Hutch. He says the goal was to build something that felt natural for locals but still gave guests a reason to leave the lobby. He nailed it. The Hutch feels honest: real coffee, real food, no nonsense.
