TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Two new candidates have filed for Tallahassee City Commission Seat 5, where Dianne Williams-Cox currently sits.
Tifany Hill and Joseph (Joe) Kalicki have both filed this week and their challengers include Dianne Williams-Cox, who is seeking reelection, and Bernard Stevens II.
Hill, a retired U.S. Army combat veteran and Tallahassee local, filed for candidacy on Wednesday. “I’m running for Tallahassee City Commissioner, Seat 5, because our community deserves leadership that listens, understands, acts with integrity, research, and follows up with the people who bring issues before you,” Hill said in a statement to WCTV.
Hill said Tallahassee is her home and she wants “real solutions” as she’s worked with residents who struggle for housing, services and having their voices heard. She said she wants to make residents part of the decision-making process.

“I’ve served my country and now I’m running to ensure Seat 5 is represented by someone who knows the community, respects taxpayer dollars, and is committed to transparent, people-first governance.”
Kalicki filed for candidacy on Tuesday and was born and raised in Leon County. He currently serves as Director of Product Development at local health technology company, Ruvos, and is also a musician, according to a statement to WCTV.
Kalicki is looking to help support the city’s arts and culture. His career skills in “bringing together groups of people to make complex strategic decisions” will help the city resolve issues more collaboratively, per his statement.
Joe chose to enter the race after not seeing the city commission sufficiently address core issues the city faces: rising housing costs, slow growth of jobs that pay a livable wage, and homegrown businesses struggling to compete with chains. He also wants to see the city ensure further support for the arts and culture that make our city unique.
Dianne Williams-Cox first assumed City Commission Seat 5 in 2018 and has remained in the position to this day, according to previous reports. She filed for reelection in July 2025.
Three candidates are currently running for Jeremy Matlow’s vacant Commission Seat 3. Matlow is running for Tallahassee mayor along with Former State Senator Loranne Ausley and Civil Rights Lawyer Daryl Parks. Election day for the general election is Nov. 3, 2026.
