IHG Hotels & Resorts is opening its first all-inclusive in the U.S.: the Voco Sandpiper All-Inclusive Resort in Port St. Lucie, Fla.

The 335-room property, formerly the Club Med Sandpiper Bay, is located roughly 45 minutes north of Palm Beach and is fresh off a $50 million transformation. The updated property features newly redesigned rooms and suites, each offering private balconies or walkout patios with resort or water views.

Guests have access to seven restaurant and bar concepts, including the Riverside Market buffet, which features a deli counter, a Moroccan tagine experience and pizza and Italian specialties, among many other international options. Additional dining venues include the beachfront American eatery Lucie’s and seasonal coastal concept Solara. The resort’s food and beverage program is led by executive chef Mark
Jones, who has worked at Michelin-starred restaurants across Europe.

On the beverage side, the property has The Hideaway poolside bar, Match Point sports bar, Versus outdoor covered bar and the Sunset Bar, which offers views of the St. Lucie River.

Plenty of outdoor activities

Other amenities include a renovated family pool, a new kids’ splash pad, an adults-only infinity pool, a minigolf course, an arcade and complimentary kayak and paddleboard rentals.

The property also offers 18,000 square feet of meetings and event space.

Reservations are currently open for stays beginning Jan. 30.

Launched in 2018, IHG’s upscale Voco brand has a footprint of more than 100 hotels globally.
