MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – An airline started flights from the Myrtle Beach International Airport to one of the popular Florida vacation spots on Friday.
Breeze Airways started flights from Myrtle Beach International Airport to Fort Lauderdale on Jan. 16.
The new route will initially operate twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays.
Breeze says service will increase to four times weekly on Feb. 13, with additional flights on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
Breeze also announced flights to Orlando starting Feb. 5, operating on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
“These new nonstop flights to Fort Lauderdale and Orlando demonstrate Breeze’s rapid growth and ongoing investment at MYR, bringing even greater connectivity and economic benefits to our community,” said Judi Olmstead, Horry County Director of Airports.
One-way fares on the new routes will start as low as $59, according to Breeze.
