Gas prices in Miami crept slightly higher this week, but Key Biscayne drivers finally caught a break when both island stations lowered regular gas to $4.49 a gallon.
Miami drivers paid an average of 1.5 cents more per gallon of regular gas over the past week, while prices on Key Biscayne finally dipped.
After months holding steady at $4.79 per gallon, both island gas stations lowered their price of regular to $4.49.
Across the Miami metro area, the average price remained $2.93 per gallon to start the week, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 1,690 stations, 20 cents lower than a month ago and nearly 16 cents lower than a year ago.
GasBuddy also reported the cheapest station in Miami at $2.49 per gallon on Sunday, while Key Biscayne continues to rank among the region’s most expensive.
Nationally, the average price of gasoline fell 4.1 cents last week to $2.98 per gallon, marking the earliest national drop below $3 since 2020, according to GasBuddy’s head of petroleum analysis, Patrick De Haan.
