Rain chances ramp up Saturday night

  • January 18, 2026

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A cold rain is on tap for Saturday night before another blast of winter air to end the weekend.

Tonight Through Sunday Night

Moisture will continue to increase across the Big Bend and South Georgia tonight. As a result, a widespread, cold rain is ahead under a mostly cloudy sky. Lows settle in the mid-and-upper-30s.

The forecast on Sunday is relatively unchanged. Cold air will rush into the Big Bend and South Georgia on the backside of this system, and this will lead to a wintry mix for some locations (mainly north and west). Again, impacts are not expected as temperatures hover above freezing.

For most of the region, accumulation will stay at zero. However, a few spots could pick up a light dusting or a light coating, mainly near Lake Seminole and the Flint River.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in place from 4 a.m. through noon on Sunday for Jackson, Seminole, Miller and Decatur counties.

This is a quick-moving system. By the afternoon, we are turning drier under a mostly sunny sky.

We are tracking dry, clear and cold weather for Sunday night. Lows tumble into the mid-20s.

Starting The New Week

High pressure will take over as we start the work week.

We stay dry and sunny on Monday. Highs top out in the mid-50s, and lows bottom out in the mid-to-upper-20s.

Our “copy and paste” forecast will continue on Tuesday. Temperatures reach the mid-50s under a mostly sunny sky. Lows bottom out in the mid-20s.

Extended Forecast

Looking ahead, the weather pattern is looking a little warmer.

We are dry under a mix of Sun and clouds on Wednesday. Highs climb into the low-60s, with lows in the low-40s.

An isolated shower is looking possible on Thursday under more clouds. Highs reach the mid-60s, and lows fall into the upper-30s.
