A trauma alert was issued for all who were hit and were taken to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital for treatment.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Three people are recovering from injuries after being hit by a vehicle as they were crossing a St. Pete roadway, officials said.

St. Pete police said this happened around 8 p.m. Saturday when three adults were crossing the area of Central Avenue and 6th Street South.

A trauma alert was issued for all three victims, who were taken to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital for treatment.

Officers said the driver involved stayed at the scene.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
