WOODVILLE, Fla. (WCTV) – Leon County officials hosted one of two open houses for Woodville residents on Tuesday.
The residents voiced their input on how the county can help foster growth and development for their community.
As part of the county’s Woodville Rural Sense of Place Plan, some of the feedback they’re receiving is for more businesses in the area, like grocery stores, and transportation improvements.

After the community meetings, Leon County officials say they will develop a rough draft for the improvement plan.
“We’ll go back to the community and share what are draft of a plan looks like and get their feedback until we get it right, where are some tweaks that we need to make. And then ultimately present it to the board of county commissioners for their potential approval.”
The second open house for Woodville residents is on Oct. 21 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Woodville Community Center.
