FORT PIERCE, Fla. (CBS12) — Deputies with the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office are on the scene of a mass shooting with four victims in Fort Pierce.
The shooting occurred at 1:15 p.m. on the 3600 block of Avenue R in Fort Pierce, according to deputies.
Upon arrival, deputies secured the scene and rendered aid to the victims in coordination with St. Lucie County Fire Rescue.
Details remain limited as the investigation is in its earliest stages.

The extent of the victims’ injuries, their identities, and the identity of any potential suspects have not been released at this time.
Criminal Investigations Division detectives have reportedly taken over the investigation. A large law enforcement presence will be in the vicinity until the investigation is complete.
