Yianni Kourakis previews the National Championship game with Kirk Herbstreit

All right, he’ll be on the call Monday night. Kirk Herbstreit. How many of you, how many of these have you done at this point? Uh, first one was in ’09, so. I think it’s like my 16th or 17th something like that. If I told you back in August it was going to be IU in Miami, would you have predicted that? No, of course not. Everybody was thinking Penn State or Clemson or LSU, Arch Manning in Texas. That’s what makes this year, I think, so exciting is nobody saw this. Indiana has become one of the great stories from where they’ve been to where they are now, and of course Miami. Bringing them back to *** national championship game. It’s been too long. So, you know, it’s, it’s *** heck of *** story, both sides, and it’d be interesting to see how it plays out. As *** college football lifer, having the Canes back, so to speak, what does it mean to the sport and for South Florida? Oh, it’s huge. Um, you know, when Mario Cristobal came back to his alma mater, I think all of us were very hopeful that it would be able to turn. And in his 4th year, here he is, you know, knocking on the door last year. Didn’t get their opportunity to get their ticket punched. They had to argue and debate this year, but they do. And then to go to A&M, that was *** tough environment, find *** way to win. Basically on the road against Ohio State, find *** way to win, and then an Ole Miss game. I mean, they come in with *** ton of momentum and it’s gonna be great. I mean, Indiana’s been steamrolling people. Miami’s playing at home. Let’s find out who the better team is. He’s *** little busy with his, uh, rather large puppy right here. This is Peter. So, uh, I appreciate your time and good luck on the call. All right, thank you guys.
