Hurricanes fans show out for pep rally in Miami Beach

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. — It’s all about The U.

Fans have been gearing up and getting ready all weekend for Monday’s big CFP National Championship game between the Miami Hurricanes and the Indiana Hoosiers.

On Sunday, at the Playoff Fan Central in Miami Beach, a special pep rally was held for the Hurricanes.

“We’ve always been a tight fan base, but to have it in your hometown and being able to bring the National Championship home is excellent,” said Canes fan Shakira Williams.

Fans from near and far brought the energy for the Hurricanes at the Miami Beach Convention Center.

“Coming from Miami-Dade County and seeing a college team get to the national level like this is insane,” said Miami fan Shay Fullerton. “You can feel the pride in the city.”

From the UM band to the cheerleaders, and of course Sebastian the Ibis, it was a sea of green and orange on Sunday in Miami Beach.

“I’m nervous, scared, but also excited,” said Canes fan Samiha Davis.
