American Legion Post 123 on Sanibel reported that Department of Florida Cmdr. Jessica Moore visited on Dec. 20 to pay tribute to the Post’s resilience in the aftermath of Hurricanes Ian, Helene and Milton. She was accompanied by District 13 Cmdr. Laurene Allen-Flower and staff, with an entourage of 30 American Legion Riders on motorcycles. After providing lunch, Post 123 Cmdr. Tim Moore welcomed the group and spoke about some of the community programs that they have been engaged with. Moore presented a token of appreciation for the resilience of Post 123 and, in light of the amount of work to bring it back to life, for the contributions that the Post has provided to veterans and the community.
