Two weeks ago, Florida basketball found itself outside of the AP Top 25 after dropping the SEC opener against the Missouri Tigers in Columbia. Fast forward to Monday, and the Gators are now back in the thick of things thanks to a four-game winning streak.

That stretch of success includes three top-25 victories, including the most recent 98-94 road win against the Vanderbilt Commodores. Todd Golden’s team now finds themselves up three spots to No. 16 — the same ranking the Coaches Poll gave them this week — sitting between the 15th-ranked Commodores and 17th-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide this time around.

Florida began the 2025-26 campaign ranked third in the AP Poll, but a season-opening loss to the currently No. 1 Arizona Wildcats had them slipping from the start; in fact, the Orange and Blue completely dropped from the top 25 two weeks ago. The recent resurgence has the Gators back in the thick of things just in time to build up their tournament resume.

SEC schools in AP Top 25 after Week 11

The Southeastern Conference once again has five schools mentioned in this week’s update, and despite the loss, Vanderbilt remains the top-ranked team at No. 15… but barely. Florida and Alabama are right on its tail at Nos 16 and 17, respectively, while the Arkansas Razorbacks (No. 20) and Georgia Bulldogs (No. 21) also remain among the top 25.
