A 34-year-old St. Petersburg woman — charged with more than 40 charges including four counts of capital sexual battery — is accused of forcing her 11-year-old daughter to perform sexual acts.
The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office said she shared images of the acts. Detectives began investigating after getting a report that a 38-year-old man was obtaining child pornography and meeting with young children, the PCSO said.
The woman is accused of forcing her daughter to perform sexual acts on the man, herself and the family dog. The woman wasn’t identified to protect her daughter’s identity, authorities said.
Detectives arrested the woman Oct. 14. She was taken to the Pinellas County Jail.
Sheriff Bob Gualtieri said 84 people have been booked into the jail on child pornography charges this year.
Gualtieri said the arrests involved “900 different videos of kids mostly in the 5- to 12-year-old range engaged in perverse sex acts for the pleasure of adults.”
