After months of speculation and anticipation, Universal Orlando Resort announced its newest attraction, set to replace the “Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit” coaster.

“Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift” roller coaster is coming to Universal Studios Florida in 2027. That’s also when “Fast & Furious – Supercharged” will permanently close.

Universal says riders will experience 360-degree drifting on the new coaster, while speeding through “jaw-dropping maneuvers,” including a 170-foot vertical spike, which will send guests nearly 17 stories in the air over the outskirts of Universal CityWalk.

The new ride follows the permanent closure of Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit in August.
