Florida A&M women’s basketball returns to the Lawson Center

  • January 21, 2026

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – After starting the SWAC season 3-1, the Florida A&M women’s basketball team’s three game win streak ended Saturday with a loss at Arkansas Pine Bluff.

Head coach Bridgette Gordon notes this team going through some injuries right now, but she said they have to learn to adjust, and they didn’t do that this weekend.

The Rattlers are still in the top half of the SWAC standings, and are now at home for two straight games, and protecting their home floor is the priority now.

“It’s very important to win at home to keep being in the position that we want to be in. These next two games, Thursday’s game is very important for us to start another winning streak. We’re undefeated at home, there’s no place like home, protect the snake pit, and it was our true first road trip on games. It’s very important to be back home in familiar territory and get back into a normal routine.”

First up in the Rattlers two game home stand? Jackson State. Tip off is set for 6:30 on Thursday.
