A 19-year-old was riding his electric bike when he collided with a trailer being pulled by a Ford F-150 in St. Pete.
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — A 19-year-old died after he collided with a trailer being pulled by a truck in St. Petersburg.
Caidyn Reese Knuth was riding his electric bike just after 6 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of 32nd Avenue North and Hartford Street North. At the same time, a grey Ford F-150 pulling a lawn trailer, driven by a 44-year-old man was driving toward the intersection.
Knuth didn’t stop at the stop sign at the intersection and crashed into the side of the lawn trailer, according to St. Pete police. He was thrown off the bike and transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
On Saturday, he died from his injuries.Â
The driver of the Ford F-150 remained on the scene to cooperate with police.
Officers said they are continuing to investigate.Â
